Men's Walk 71
September 10 - 13, 2026
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 14:8
It is with a grateful heart and deep humility that I have the privilege of serving as Lay Director for Men’s Walk #71, occurring September 10 – 13, 2026. As I reflect on the journey God has brought me through — as a husband, father, brother, and a man who simply desires to follow Jesus more closely — I am reminded that every step of this preparation is not about me, but about Him. Every phone call, every prayer, every team member, and every pilgrim is part of a story that God has already written for this weekend.
The theme for Men’s Walk #71 is “Jesus Is Everything.”
Our scripture for the weekend is John 14:6, where Jesus declares: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
In a world that constantly pulls men in a hundred different directions — through work, responsibilities, distractions, and the weight we often quietly carry — this weekend will be a reminder that Jesus is not just part of our life… Jesus is everything. He is our foundation, our hope, our peace, and our salvation. My prayer is that every man who encounters Christ in such a real and personal way during Walk 71 that he leaves knowing with certainty that Jesus truly is everything.
Our weekend song, Reckless Love by Cory Asbury, beautifully captures the heart of this message. It reminds us that there is no shadow God will not light up, no mountain He will not climb up, and no wall He will not tear down to reach His sons. That kind of relentless love is what changes lives, and I believe many men will experience that love in a powerful way during this Walk.
One thing the Lord has continually shown me is that the greatest strength of this community is found in the simple faithfulness of ordinary people willing to serve. Our 4th Day is absolutely amazing! 4th Day serve through prayer. 4th Day serve through agape. 4th Day serve through serving meals. 4th Day serve in many ways throughout the weekend. Those acts of obedience become the hands and feet of Jesus to someone who needs to see Him.
I want to personally ask our 4th Day community to begin praying now for the pilgrims, the team, and for every unseen detail of this weekend. Please pray that hearts would be softened, burdens would be lifted, chains would be broken, and lives would be forever changed by the presence of Jesus. Prayer is the most powerful gift you can offer, and I know from my walk that the prayers of others often carry us when we do not realize how much we need them.
If God places it on your heart, I also invite you to help by providing agape, serving during meals, attending candlelight, or sponsoring a man you know who may need this weekend. Sometimes the man who appears strongest on the outside is the one who most needs to be reminded that he does not have to walk alone.
I am deeply thankful for a community that continues to love, serve, and pour into others so faithfully. The men of Walk #71 may never fully know how many people helped make their weekend possible, but Heaven will know. And I believe eternity will reveal the fruit of every prayer and every act of love offered in Christ’s name.
May we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as we prepare for what He has in store for our lives.
Very Respectfully,
Garry Wieneke
