Girls BIC Encouter #65

February 14 - 16, 2026

It is both a privilege and an honor to serve as the Lay Director for the upcoming Girls’ Encounter #65. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our team, our community, and especially our youth, as we prepare for a weekend centered on spiritual growth, Christlike transformation, and a genuine encounter with the presence of God.

Our Theme is “More Like Jesus” and our Theme Song is More Like Jesus, by One Voice Worship. Our Theme Verse is 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT) “So all of us who have had the veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.”

This verse reminds us that the moment we turn to Christ, the “veil” that once kept us from truly seeing God is lifted. We begin to see Him clearly—His love, His character, His heart for us. As we draw closer to Him, the Holy Spirit starts transforming us from the inside out. It’s not about trying harder or being perfect; it’s about letting God shape us into His image day by day, moment by moment.

This transformation becomes even more real when life is hard. Over the past year, my own family has walked through many difficult health battles. These seasons have oftentimes felt overwhelming, where answers didn’t come quickly and strength felt thin. But God…… Through every challenge, Jesus proved faithful. He taught me what it really means to trust—to lean on Him when I couldn’t see the way forward, to believe that He was working even when circumstances felt impossible, and to count every single blessing He placed along the way.

Those experiences have made this theme deeply personal. Becoming “More Like Jesus” isn’t just a phrase—it’s what has carried me through some of my hardest moments. It’s what builds unshakeable faith, softens our hearts, and teaches us to love, persevere, and hope like Jesus does.

My prayer is that every participant who attends this weekend will truly encounter the life-changing presence of Jesus, surrender to Him, and leave with a deeper desire to reflect His glory in everyday life.

I am also grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside Fabian Lengacher, who will be leading the Boys’ Encounter Team. It is a blessing to collaborate with dedicated, like-minded individuals who share the same mission—to invest in the next generation and help shape young lives to become More Like Jesus. Together, we look forward to creating an environment where participants can grow, be challenged, and experience Christ in a deeper way.

Many Blessings, Breanne Rainey

Boys BIC Encounter #66

February 14 - 16, 2026

I consider it a privilege and honor to be the Lay Director for the Boy’s Encounter #66 in February. It definitely has been a journey to get to this point, but I would not trade it for anything. It is stretching me to say the least, and has been a good thing to Trust in the Father for His help and guidance and discernment. As I was preparing a couple weeks ago, I was feeling a little stressed and overwhelmed; I heard him say “Fabian, Fabian” as he did with Martha and tell me that I am concerned about many things, but Mary has chosen the better. Most of you know that story about Mary and Martha and it was so refreshing when I felt like the Lord gently remind me that He is here to help me and to REST in HIM and TRUST HIM. When reading that story before I kind of always felt like Jesus was a little harsh with Martha, I guess because I sometimes am like Martha. Very agenda oriented. But when I felt the Lord speak to me it was so gentle and Loving and kind. It was like he was wooing me to HIMSELF. What an Awesome GOD we serve.

I also have the tendency to want to get something done so I can sit back and enjoy Life. Well, again I felt like the Lord tell me it is not to “Get through, but a Get Too” mentality. To enjoy this season of preparing and organizing and sit in the Presence of God. It is the best place to be.

I also have the privilege to partner and work this Encounter with Breanne Rainey. I first met her at last year’s Encounter as we were both ALD’s and quickly appreciated her passion for JESUS and how she wants to share HIM with others and especially young people. What a Blessing it is to serve with her.

Our theme is “More like Jesus.” Our song is “More like Jesus” by One voice worship. Our scripture is 2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT “So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord – Who is the Spirit – makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His Glorious image.” I will have to say that Breanne come up with it all, but I quickly come on board with it. I feel like that is what we are all striving for is to be “More like Jesus” and to Share His Goodness and Love to others and in our case to some precious 15–18-year-olds. I was originally thinking along the lines of “Trust” as a Theme, but if you look close at this scripture trust is right there in the middle of it. When it talks about the veil being removed; it talks about earlier in the passage that the veil is removed when we believe. When it says believe, it is not talking about a head knowledge, but a putting of total trust in Jesus. So there it is…..TRUST!!! So that just confirms everything. My most recent life verse Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”

The team is close to being full and I am so looking forward to gathering with them. There is such a good mix of servants. Some I have known a long time and some a couple years and some I have just met, but I am convinced that every one of the team members LOVES JESUS with all their heart and are eager to serve HIM.
We covet your Prayers as we start to prepare for formations and eventually the weekend. That we can share the Love of Jesus to these young people so we can “become more like Jesus” so they can become more like Jesus.
