On behalf of the Board of Directors of Southwest Indiana Walk to Emmaus (SIWE), we look forward to working with 4th day to continue building Christian men and women into leaders for Christ who will provide Christian leadership in their churches, communities and families. We all have a continuing responsibility to work towards spiritual maturity not only in our selves but in each other as Hebrews 5:11–6:3 tells us. Emmaus strives to be a step in Christian maturity, but not a substitute for actively attending a church and continuing study.
We continue our partnership with Camp Illiana and look forward to the continued strengthening of this relationship. We are blessed to have a facility that meets the needs of SIWE, and so it is important that we always leave the weekend events in a manner that reflects the Christian values of humbleness and service
We request that you prayerfully consider individuals to sponsor for a Men’s or Women’s walk. Emmaus is intended for those individuals who regularly attend a church and are looking to deepen their relationship with Christ. It is this deepening relationship that moves individuals to become Christian leaders
Walk dates can be found near the bottom of this page. We ask for your prayers for the Emmaus community, the teams and pilgrims. Please feel free to contact any of the Board members if you have suggestions or concerns. We meet monthly (1st Tuesday of the month) at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg, Indiana, at 7:00pm
May Christ lead you in all your days

is a pleasure and honor to serve God and the Southwest Indiana Walk to Emmaus
Community as we prepare for Men’s Walk 55A, which will be held November 30 –
December 3! With each name He
has called to the team, another piece of a beautiful puzzle has fallen into
place. It is with great anticipation
the team of Men’s Walk 55A is preparing for this special weekend. It
is our prayer that the pilgrims of Walk 55A will leave with the campground that
Sunday with changed lives and a vibrant, renewed relationship with our Lord.
We pray that they leave strengthened and prepared to go back to their
home churches and actively engage in Kingdom work.
theme for Men’s Walk 53 is “Love Wins” and the scripture is Matthew
22:37-40; 37 “Jesus replied:
"'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the
second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the
Prophets hang on these two commandments."
is such an important part of Emmaus. In
introductions at our first team formation, I asked the question what is the one
thing each team member remembered about their own Emmaus Walk.
Over and over again, the response was all the Agape they received from
people they didn’t even know! For
this reason, I am asking that you pray about providing Agape to the Pilgrims of
the Fall walks. Those little gifts, trinkets and cards mean so much.
Please mark Agape as either “Table” or “Bed” so we can
deliver accordingly (if you have a preference).
we would certainly appreciate any “Green Agape” for our Cooks and we would
love to see you help serve at one of the meals.
And most importantly, we ask for your continued prayers for these
precious pilgrims and for our team. 1
John 5:14 promises us that if we pray ANYTHING according to His will, He hears
we thank you, as a team, for the prayers our Father has already heard on our
behalf because of your faithfulness and we ask that you not grow weary in this
you feel led to help serve on the Men’s Walk 55A weekend in anyway, please
